Damien M. Kerce, 18, of House Springs was seriously injured Sunday evening in a motorcycle wreck on Hwy. 30 near Kennerly Road in south St. Louis County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 5:55 p.m., Kerce was riding a 2020 Harley-Davidson FXST east on the highway and allegedly failed to stop for a red light and struck a westbound pickup that was turning left from the highway onto Kennerly Road. The motorcycle also struck a concrete island and a road sign, the report said.
Christopher J. Fisher, 44, of St. Louis was driving the 2019 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup. No injuries were reported for him.
Kerce was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, where he was treated and released, a hospital spokesman said.
He was wearing a helmet, and Fisher was wearing a seat belt, the patrol reported.
Both vehicles were moderately damaged, the report said.
