A House Springs man was seriously hurt after he was involved in a single-vehicle traffic accident early Saturday evening, Dec. 10, in the Fourmile Corner area between Washington and Union in Franklin County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that Kyle Beaumont, 23, of House Springs was driving a 2006 Kia Rio south on Country Club Road near Elmwood View Road, but was driving too fast for the rainy conditions of the road and the Kia began sliding, then crossed the center of the road and off the left side of the road, where it hit a tree.
Beaumont sustained serious injuries and he was taken by Washington County Ambulance to Mercy Hospital St. Louis, the report said.
An update on his condition was not available.
Beaumont was wearing a seat belt, the report said. The Kia had extensive damage, according to the report.
