A House Springs man who was injured in a one-vehicle accident early Thursday morning (June 21) on Vogel Road near Bluff Park Drive in Arnold was arrested for suspicion of driving while intoxicated, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 1:10 a.m., the 23-year-old man was driving a 1997 Ford Explorer west on Vogel Road and lost control of the vehicle, which overturned, ran off the left side of the road and struck a utility pole, the report said.
The man was moderately injured and transported by Rock Township Ambulance to St. Anthony’s Medical Center in south St. Louis County, where he was treated and released, a hospital spokesman said.
The driver was wearing a seat belt, the patrol reported.
The SUV was extensively damaged.
The highway patrol arrested the man at 1:40 a.m. at the hospital, the report said.
