A Hillsboro woman reportedly suffered a medical emergency while driving, leading to a crash on Hwy. 21 north of Otto, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 5 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 25, Karen F. Bowen, 58, was driving a northbound 2014 Madza CX5 when it traveled off the road and into a tree line, the report said.
Bowen was taken by Rock Township ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County where she was listed in satisfactory condition as of Friday, Jan. 26, a hospital spokesman said.
According to the report, Bowen was wearing a seat belt, and the vehicle was totaled.
