A 46-year-old Hillsboro man was killed Saturday (July 3) after he was hit by a car while he was walking across Hwy. 30 in the Fenton area.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that Shane Donty, 46, was walking across the eastbound lanes of Hwy. 30 east of Northwest Boulevard at 9:27 p.m. when he walked in front of an eastbound 2010 Dodge Caliber, which struck him.
Donty was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics from the North Jefferson Ambulance District at 9:37 p.m., the report said.
The report made no mention of an injury to the driver of the Dodge, Alexander Gerstner, 29, of Fenton, who, according to the report, was wearing a seat belt. His car had extensive damage, the report said.
