Joshua D. Wood, 32, of Hillsboro was hurt Sunday night (April 25) in a two-vehicle accident at highways 21 and 110 north of De Soto, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 8:18 p.m., Wood was driving a 2018 Nissan Pathfinder north on Hwy. 21, and Nicholas T. Wells, 23, of Bonne Terre, who was driving a southbound 2021 Chevrolet Malibu, tried to turn left from Hwy. 21 to Hwy. 110 and allegedly failed to yield to the Pathfinder, and the front right side of it struck the front right side of the Malibu, the report said.
No injuries were reported for Wells.
However, Wood was moderately injured and taken by Valle Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, where he was treated and released, a hospital spokesman said.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts, the patrol reported.
The two vehicles were totaled, the report said.
