A 10-year-old Hillsboro boy was hurt Sunday afternoon (Nov. 1) in an off-road motorcycle accident at St. Joe State Park in Park Hills in St. Francois County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that the boy was riding a 2007 Honda CRF 100 off-road motorcycle in the off-road area of the park at 2:30 p.m. when he struck an embankment and overturned.
He sustained moderate injuries and was taken by car to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, the report said.
An update on his condition was not available.
The boy was wearing a safety helmet, the report said. The Honda had minor damage.
