A High Ridge teenager was injured Friday night (June 4) when he and another High Ridge teen allegedly were racing at Hwy. B and Ridge Road between Cedar Hill and Morse Mill, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
The crash happened at 10:56 p.m., when the 16-year-old, in a 2007 Honda Accord, and a 17-year-old male, in a 2013 Hyundai Azera, reportedly were racing on the highway, and the 16-year-old lost control and struck the guardrail. Then, the Accord rotated and struck the Azera, the report said.
No injures were reported for the 17-year-old. However, the 16-year-old was moderately injured and taken by Big River Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts, the patrol reported.
The Accord was totaled, and the Azera was moderately damaged, the report said.
The patrol did not release the teens’ names because they are juveniles.
