Benjamin Allen, 36, of High Ridge was the man who died July 11 when he was trying to walk across Hwy. 30 east of Hwy. PP in High Ridge and was struck by a car, authorities reported.
The Regional Medical Examiner identified Allen on July 16.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at 12:30 a.m., when a 47-year-old High Ridge man was driving an eastbound 2009 Chrysler 300 and struck Allen, the patrol report said.
North Jefferson County Ambulance personnel pronounced Allen dead on the scene at 12:38 a.m., the report said.
According to the report, no injuries were reported for the driver, who was wearing a seat belt.
The car was extensively damaged, the report said.
