A High Ridge man was injured in a motorcycle crash on Hwy. 185 at Timber Ridge Road in Washington County on Sunday, July 21, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
At 2 p.m., David M. Cody, 41, allegedly was riding a northbound 2024 Suzuki GXS1000 too fast for roadway conditions and failed to negotiate a curve, causing the motorcycle to travel off the road, strike a fallen tree branch, become airborne and strike a concrete pillar, ejecting him, the report said.
Cody was seriously injured and transported by Air Evac to Mercy Hospital St. Louis in Creve Coeur, where he was listed in satisfactory condition this morning, July 22, a hospital spokesman said.
He was wearing a Department of Transportation-approved helmet, the patrol reported.
The motorcycle was totaled, the report said.
