A Fenton woman and three House Springs residents, including a 13-year-old girl, were injured in a crash on Dec. 9 on Hwy. W, just west of Byrnes Mill, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.

At 5:10 p.m., Jane M. Scaggs, 60, of Fenton was driving a southbound 2016 Chrysler Town and Country, and Bonnie R. Powell, 49, of House Springs was driving a northbound 2020 Chevrolet Equinox, the report said. The front driver’s side of each car collided as they passed each other north of Lakeview Drive, causing the Chevrolet to travel off the road into a ditch.

According to the report, Scaggs was seriously injured and taken by personal conveyance to SSM Health St. Clare Hospital in Fenton.

Bonnie Powell and a 13-year-old female passenger received minor injuries, and another passenger, Charlotte L. Powell, 65, of House Springs, was moderately injured, the report said. All three were taken by Big River Ambulance to St. Clare Hospital in Fenton.

The drivers and injured passengers were all wearing seat belts, and both vehicles were moderately damaged, the report said.
