Rock Fire extracts woman from car following accident in Arnold

Rock Community Fire Protection District firefighters extracted a woman from a car on July 9 after it rolled off Lonedell Drive in Arnold.

Alyssa Gray, 32, of Arnold was rescued by Rock Community Fire Protection District firefighters when her car overturned after running off Lonedell Road near Dixon Drive in Arnold. Gray suffered minor injuries and was transported to an area hospital by Rock Township Ambulance, Arnold Police reported.

Gray was driving a 2010 Hyundai Elantra north on Lonedell Road at about 7:10 a.m. July 9. The car slid off the right side of the road as it approached a curve in wet conditions, the report said.

The car rolled onto its driver’s side after going off the road. Rock Fire said in a Facebook post that “there was a bit of a challenge extricating (Gray) from the automobile which was in a precarious position.”

Arnold Police did not report how much damage the car sustained, but the Elantra was towed.
