Luke Scherle, 28, of Festus was injured early this morning, June 18, in a motorcycle accident on Plattin Road east of Rock N Horse Farms Drive south of Festus, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 12:20 a.m., Scherle was riding a 2012 Honda VT1300CX west on Plattin Road and struck an animal on the road, and the bike overturned, ejecting Scherle, the report said.
He was moderately injured and taken by Joachim-Plattin Ambulance to Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City.
Scherle was wearing a helmet, the patrol reported.
The motorcycle was moderately damaged, the report said.
