Deiyden C. Rushing, 24, of Festus was hurt Friday afternoon (July 24) in a three-vehicle accident on I-64 east of Prospect Road in St. Charles County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 3:28 p.m., Adam N. Fisher, 21, of Berger was driving a 2000 Dodge Dakota west on the interstate and struck the rear of a westbound 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Rushing, who was slowing for traffic ahead. Then, the Cherokee struck the rear of a westbound 2017 Ford Fusion driven by Scott A. Schroer, 25, of St. Louis, who also was slowing, the report said.
No injures were reported for Fisher or Schroer. However, Rushing was moderately hurt and taken by ambulance to SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital in Lake St. Louis, the report said.
All three drivers were wearing seat belts, the patrol reported.
The three vehicles were extensively damaged, the report said.
