A 60-year-old Festus man was killed March 21 in a one-vehicle crash on Hwy. CC north of Plattin Road south of Festus, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 4:56 p.m., the man was driving a northbound 2008 Ford E-250 on the highway, and the van ran off the right side of the road before returning to the road, crossing the centerline and running off the left side of the road, where it struck a tree, overturned and ejected the driver, the report said.
The man was pronounced dead at the crash scene by Joachim-Plattin Ambulance personnel at 5:14 p.m.
The driver was not wearing a seat belt, and the vehicle was extensively damaged, the report said.
