A 53-year-old Festus man was arrested for suspicion of driving while intoxicated following a one-vehicle accident on July 15 at Hwy. AA east of Hwy. TT south of Festus, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.
At 5:50 p.m., the man was headed east in a 1990 Chevrolet 1500, and the pickup ran off the right side of the road before the driver overcorrected and the pickup returned to the road, crossed the center of the road and then ran off the left side of the road, where it overturned, the report said.
The man sustained moderate injuries and was taken by the Missouri State Highway Patrol to Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City.
He was wearing a seat belt, the patrol reported.
The pickup was totaled, the report said.
