A Fenton woman, an Arnold man and an Arnold child were injured late Friday afternoon (Oct. 16) in a two-vehicle accident on Old Hwy. 21 just south of Lally Drive in Imperial, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 4:05 p.m., Nichole L. Lahue, 41, of Fenton was driving a 2003 Ford Focus wagon north on Old Hwy. 21 and failed to stop when a northbound 2000 Ford Contour stopped ahead for traffic, and the front of the Focus struck the rear of the Contour, the report said.
Sterling P. Eich, 57, of Arnold was driving the Contour.
Lahue was moderately injured, and Eich and a passenger in the Contour – a 10-year-old Arnold girl – had minor injuries.
All three were taken by Rock Township Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, according to the report.
Both Lahue and Sterling Eich were wearing seat belts. The juvenile, however, was not using a safety device, the patrol reported.
The Contour was extensively damaged, and the Focus was moderately damaged, the report said.
