Two women were hurt Thursday afternoon (Aug. 20) in a three-vehicle accident on Hwy. 30 at Northwest Boulevard in unincorporated Fenton, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 2:34 p.m., Marissa B. Fleischmann, 27, of O’Fallon was driving a 2006 Kia Optima east on the highway, and she allegedly failed to stop for a red light, and the car struck the left side of a westbound 2009 Ford F150 pickup driven by Mary E. Patrick, 76, of Fenton, who was turning left from Northwest Boulevard onto westbound Hwy. 30, the report said.
The impact of that collision caused the pickup to strike the front of a 2007 Jeep Liberty that was stopped at the traffic light on westbound Hwy. 30. Christina M. Weber, 27, of Fenton was driving the Jeep, according to the report.
No injuries were reported for Weber. However, Fleischmann and Patrick were moderately injured and taken by North Jefferson County Ambulance to Mercy Hospital St. Louis in Creve Coeur.
All three drivers were wearing seat belts, the patrol reported.
The car and the pickup were totaled, and the Jeep had minor damage, the report said.
