A Fenton woman was hurt early Saturday morning (Jan. 9) in a one-vehicle accident on Romaine Creek Road in the Springdale area between Arnold and Fenton.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that Lisa Smercina, 45, was driving a 1999 GMC Jimmy south on Romaine Creek Road north of Arrowhead Hills Drive at 1:10 a.m. when she drove off the west side of the road and struck a rock embankment.
Smercina sustained moderate injuries and was taken by car to St. Anthony’s Medical Center, the report said.
An update on her condition was not available.
Smercina was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident. Her vehicle was damaged extensively, the report said.
