Bobby G. Rhine, 70, of Fenton was injured this morning (Feb. 10) in a one-vehicle accident on I-255 west of Hwy. 231 (Telegraph Road) in south St. Louis County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 7:45 a.m., Rhine was driving a 2018 Nissan Rogue east on the interstate, and the SUV began sliding and ran off the left side of the road, where it struck a median barrier, spun and stuck the median again, the report said.
He was moderately injured and taken by Mehlville Fire Protection District EMS to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, where he was listed in satisfactory condition this evening, a hospital spokesman said.
Rhine was wearing a seat belt, the patrol reported.
The SUV was extensively damaged, the report said.
