Jessica C. Eckert, 19, of Eureka was injured Wednesday evening (July 14) in a two-vehicle accident at highways F and FF in the Jefferson County portion of Pacific, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 5:15 p.m., Eckert was driving a 2003 Ford Ranger south on Hwy. F and while trying to turn left onto Hwy. FF, struck a northbound 2016 Chevrolet Silverado. Then, the Ranger ran off the west side of the road and struck a guardrail, the report said.
Tom G. Herron, 63, of Crystal City was driving the Silverado. No injuries were reported for him.
However, Eckert was moderately injured and taken by private conveyance to SSM Health St. Clare Hospital in Fenton, where she was treated and released, a hospital spokesperson said.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts, the patrol reported.
The two pickups were totaled, the report said.
