A 25-year-old Eureka man was arrested for allegedly driving while intoxicated following a crash that seriously injured a woman on Hwy. PP at High Ridge Boulevard in High Ridge, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.

At 4 p.m. Sunday, May 5, the Eureka man was driving a northbound 2004 GMC Sierra in a reportedly reckless manner, and struck a 2016 Ford Edge, driven south by Myra E. Boenker, 84, High Ridge that was turning left onto High Ridge Boulevard, the report said.

Boenker was seriously injured and taken by North Jefferson Ambulance to Mercy Hospital St. Louis in Creve Coeur, the report said.

A passenger in the Eureka man’s vehicle, Scott C. Robbins III, 22, of High Ridge, was reportedly taken by private conveyance to an unknown hospital.

According to a hospital spokeswoman, Boenker was in satisfactory condition as of Monday morning, May 6.

The Eureka man was arrested at 5:10 p.m. for a DWI resulting in a serious physical injury and he was held at Jefferson County Jail in Hillsboro for 12 hours, the report said.

According to the report, both drivers and Robbins were wearing seat belts, and the vehicles were moderately damaged.
