A Hillsboro woman was injured Friday evening, Dec. 15, in a two-vehicle accident on Hwy. 67 south of Buck Creek Road south of Festus, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 5:18 p.m., Dominee L. Foster, 39, of Hillsboro, in an eastbound 2011 Kia Sorento, was trying to turn left from a private driveway onto northbound Hwy. 67 and reportedly failed to yield, pulling into the path of a southbound 2011 Mazda CX-7 driven by Michael A. Gilliam, 46, of Valles Mines. The front of the CX-7 struck the front left side of the Sorento, the report said.
No injuries were reported for Gilliam.
Foster, however, was moderately injured and taken by Joachim-Plattin Ambulance to Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City, according to the report.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts, the patrol reported.
The two vehicles were extensively damaged, the report said.
