Brendan C. Bielik, 19, of Dittmer was hurt in a one-car accident Wednesday afternoon (Oct. 28) on Reynolds Creek Road about a half mile west of Hwy. B west of Hillsboro, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.
At 1:20 p.m., Bielik was driving a 2003 Acura CL west on Reynolds Creek Road and lost control of the car, which ran off the right side of the road, where it struck a culvert, overturned and struck a utility pole, the report said.
Bielik sustained moderate injuries and was taken by private conveyance to the St. Anthony’s Urgent Care in Arnold and then went to St. Anthony’s Medical Center in south St. Louis County, where he was treated and released, a hospital spokesman said this afternoon (Oct. 29).
He was wearing a seat belt, the patrol reported.
The car was totaled, the report said.
