A Dittmer man and a Fenton woman were hurt Wednesday evening (Sept. 28) in a four-vehicle accident on Hwy. 141 south of Romaine Creek in the Jefferson County portion of Fenton, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.

At 4:50 p.m., Jacob A. Tedesco, 56, of Fenton was driving a 2004 Chevrolet 1500 north on Hwy. 141, failed to slow for traffic that had stopped ahead, and the front of the pickup struck the back of a 2008 Chevrolet 1500, causing a chain reaction of rear-end accidents, the report said.

The 2008 pickup was pushed into the rear of a 1993 Mercury Grand Marquis, and that car was pushed into a 2012 Nissan Sentra, according to the report.

Ricky D. McCarter, 56, of Dittmer was driving the 2008 pickup, Leslie A. Palmer, 50, of Fenton was driving the Grand Marquis and Abigail R. Mickle, 17, of Fenton was driving the Sentra.

No injuries were reported for Tedesco or Mickle.

However, McCarter sustained minor injuries and Palmer moderate injuries, and they both were taken by Rock Township Ambulance to St. Anthony’s Medical Center in south St. Louis County, where they were treated and released, a hospital spokesman said today (Sept. 29).
