John D. Maxwell, 25, of Desloge was injured Thursday morning (Feb. 24) in a one-vehicle accident at highways 67 and 110 near Olympian Village, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 10:33 a.m., Maxwell was driving a southbound 2021 Jeep Cherokee and ran off the right side of the road, where the vehicle struck a guardrail before sliding off the left side of the road and again striking a guardrail, the report said.
He was moderately injured and taken by Joachim-Plattin Ambulance to Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City, where he was treated and released, a hospital spokesman said.
Maxwell was wearing a seat belt, the patrol reported.
The Jeep was extensively damaged, the report said.
