A 23-year-old De Soto woman was killed in a crash on Hwy. 67 south of Hwy. CC near Olympian Village, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 3:47 p.m. March 1, the De Soto woman was driving a 2010 Ford Expedition north on Hwy. 67 and struck the rear of a northbound 2022 Peterbilt 579 driven by a 47-year-old De Soto man who was slowing for traffic ahead, the report said.
Emergency medical services personnel pronounced the woman dead at the scene, at 4:59 p.m. The man sustained minor injuries and was taken to Mercy Hospital Jefferson by Joachim-Plattin Ambulance District.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts, the patrol reported.
The Ford was totaled and the tractor-trailer was extensively damaged, the report said.
