A De Soto woman was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated after she and her passenger, a man from Imperial, were hurt in a single-vehicle accident early Sunday morning (July 25) on Hwy. 185 in the Leslie area of western Franklin County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that the 47-year-old De Soto woman was driving a 2002 Ford Ranger north in the 7900 block of Hwy. 185 at 3:30 a.m. when she drove off the right side of the road and hit a tree.
She sustained moderate injuries, as did a passenger in the Ranger, Daniel Lange, 49, of Imperial. Both were taken by the Gerald Fire Protection District to Mercy Hospital Washington.
Updates on their conditions were not available.
The woman was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated as well as felony possession of drug paraphernalia.
She will not be named unless she is charged with a crime by the Franklin County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
Both the woman and the passenger were wearing seat belts, the report said. The Ranger was totaled.
