A 37-year-old De Stoo man was killed in an ATV accident Saturday evening (May 18) on Laguna Palma Road in the De Soto area of southeast Jefferson County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that Stephen Gann, 37, was riding a 2006 Honda ATV north on Laguna Palma Road at 7:15 p.m. when he struck an animal on the road, causing the ATV to overturn, and throwing Gann from the vehicle.
He was pronounced dead at the scene at 7:45 p.m. by paramedics from the Joachim-Plattin Ambulance District, the report said.
Gann was not wearing a helmet, the report said. The ATV had minor damage.
