A De Soto man is in serious condition following a two-vehicle crash on Old Hwy. 21 at Lake Lorraine Road in Hillsboro on Wednesday, May 29, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.

At 6:03 p.m., Kaleb R. Brown, 33, of Hillsboro was driving a northbound 2024 Chevrolet 1500 and began to slow down to turn onto Lake Lorraine Road, the report said. Tyler S. Boyer, 25, driving a northbound 2016 Honda CRV 600, reportedly failed to see the Chevrolet slow and struck the left rear of the vehicle, causing Boyer to be ejected.

According to a hospital spokesman, Boyer was in serious condition as of this morning, May 30.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts, the Honda was moderately damaged and the Chevrolet had minor damage.
