Justin A. Johnston, 41, of De Soto was injured Wednesday afternoon (July 28) in a one-car accident on Mount Olive Road south of McMullen School Road southeast of De Soto, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 12:05 p.m., Johnston was driving a northbound 1986 Ford Mustang and lost control of the car, which ran off the left side of the road and struck a telephone pole, the report said.
He was moderately injured and taken by Valle Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, where he was treated and released, a hospital spokesman said.
Johnston was wearing a seat belt, the patrol reported.
The car was totaled, the report said.
