Joshua M. Phares, 33, of De Soto was injured Thursday afternoon (July 20) in a single-car accident on Hwy. P north of Argonne Road in the Victoria area, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.
Just before 4 p.m., Phares was headed north in a 2004 Honda Civic, and the car ran partly off the right side of the road and struck a tree, the report said.
Phares was taken by private conveyance to Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City and then transferred to Mercy Hospital St. Louis in Creve Coeur, a Mercy Jefferson spokesman said.
However, a Mercy St. Louis spokeswoman said that hospital had no information about him.
Phares was wearing a seatbelt, the patrol reported.
The car was extensively damaged, the report said.
