David R. Street, 78, of De Soto was injured Tuesday afternoon (Sept. 14) in a one-vehicle accident on Oakvale Road west of Log Cabin Lane south of Olympian Village, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 3:48 p.m., Street was driving a 2002 Ford Ranger west on Oakvale Road west of Log Cabin Lane and crossed the center line, and then the pickup ran off the left side of the road, where it struck a road sign and concrete barrier, the report said.
He was moderately injured and taken by Joachim-Plattin Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, where he was listed in satisfactory condition today (Sept. 16), a hospital spokesman said.
Street was wearing a seat belt, the patrol reported.
The pickup was moderately damaged, the report said.
