A De Soto man is in critical condition today, May 20, a day after he was injured in a one-vehicle accident at Hwy. 21 north of Castle Ranch Road north of De Soto, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 10:21 a.m. Thursday, May 19, Jimmie C. Turner, 62, of De Soto was driving a 2015 Ford F150 north on the highway when the pickup ran off the left side of the road, struck an embankment and overturned, the report said.
Turner was moderately injured and taken by Valle Ambulance to Mercy Hospital St. Louis in Creve Coeur, where he was listed in critical condition as of this afternoon, a hospital spokesperson said.
Turner was wearing a seat belt, the patrol reported.
The pickup was totaled, the report said.
