A De Soto woman was injured Saturday evening, Jan. 20, in a one-car accident on Hwy. Y south of Peter Moore Lane northwest of De Soto, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 5 p.m., Dawn M. Boanton, 55, of De Soto was driving a 2010 Toyota Scion south on the highway and failed to negotiate a curve, and the car ran off the right side of the road, where it struck mailbox and a tree, the report said.
Boanton was moderately injured and taken by Valle Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis County, according to the report.
She was wearing a seat belt, the patrol reported.
The car was totaled, the report said.
