An Indiana man was injured late Saturday afternoon, Aug. 24, in a motorcycle crash on Flucom Road east of Kimberly Lane southeast of De Soto, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 4:01 p.m., David P. Sherman, 65, of Monticello, Ind., was riding a 2023 Indian Springfield motorcycle west on Flucom Road and while trying to turn left, the bike overturned off the right side of the road, the report said.
Sherman was moderately injured and taken by Valle Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, according to the report.
He was not wearing a helmet, or at least not a Department of Transportation-approved one, the patrol reported.
The motorcycle sustained minor damage, the report said.
