traffic accident patrol patch

A De Soto woman and a Bonne Terre woman were injured Friday morning, Sept. 6, in a three-vehicle accident at Hwy. 110 and Fountain City Road east of De Soto, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.

At 11:47 a.m., Charlotte A. Naramore, 78, of De Soto, in a 2014 Jeep Cherokee, was stopped on southbound Fountain City Road before entering the intersection with Hwy. 110, and the front left side of the vehicle struck the rear driver’s side of a 2021 Kia K5 driven by Jaleesa O. Lewis, 32, of De Soto, who was headed east on the highway, the report said.

After that collision, the Kia entered the westbound lane of the highway, and the front of it struck the front driver’s side of a westbound 2003 Toyota Camry driven by Alberta P. Callahan, 65, of Bonne Terre, according to the report.

No injuries were reported for Naramore. However, Lewis was seriously injured, and Callahan sustained minor injuries, and both women were taken by Valle Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, the report said.

All three drivers were wearing seat belts, the patrol reported.

The Kia and Toyota were totaled, and the Jeep was moderately damaged, the report said.
