William J. Carlin, 24, of Cedar Hill was injured Thursday evening (June 11) in a two-car accident on Hwy. BB at Veterans Drive in Cedar Hill, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 6:35 p.m., Carlin was headed south in a 2013 Chevrolet Malibu and while trying to turn left from the highway onto Veterans Drive, Jerry T. Braun, 37, of Cedar Hill, driving a 2015 Chevrolet Malibu, tried to pass Carlin’s car and ran into the left side of it, the report said.
No injuries were reported for Braun. Carlin, however, was moderately injured and taken by Big River Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, where he was treated and released, a hospital spokesman said today (June 12).
Both drivers were wearing seat belts, the patrol reported.
The 2013 Malibu was totaled, and the 2015 Malibu was extensively damaged, the report said.
