Robert Borgers, 51, of Cedar Hill was hurt in an all-terrain vehicle accident that happened at 4 p.m. Sunday (Oct. 5) on an off-road area at the St. Joe State Park sand flat, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.
Borgers was riding a 2002 Yamaha Banshee ATV north in the off-road area, and when it went airborne, its chain cut Borgers’ leg, the report said.
He sustained moderate injuries and was treated at the scene and then taken by private conveyance to Missouri Baptist Hospital.
Borgers was wearing a helmet, the patrol reported.
The ATV was not damaged, the report said.
