Dawn M. Caples, 56, of De Soto was injured in a one-vehicle crash on Monday, Oct. 21, on Engledow Road south of Valles Mines, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 5 p.m., Caples was driving an eastbound 2002 Ford F150 and ran off the right side of the road, where the pickup struck a utility pole and a fence, the report said.
Caples was moderately injured and taken by Valle Ambulance District to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, where she was treated and released, a hospital spokesman said.
She was not wearing a seat belt, the patrol reported.
The pickup was extensively damaged, the report said.
