Hayley M. Rice, 26, of Barnhart was seriously injured late Friday afternoon (Jan. 8) in a two-vehicle accident on Hwy. Z near Pevely Lake Road southwest of Pevely, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 4:47 p.m., Rice was driving a 2015 Toyota Camry west on the highway and crossed the center line, and the front of the car struck the front of an eastbound 2018 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Nicholas L. Watson, 40, of Hillsboro, the report said.
No injuries were reported for Watson.
Rice was taken by Joachim-Plattin Ambulance to Mercy Hospital St. Louis in Creve Coeur, the report said.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts, the patrol reported.
The Camry was totaled, and the Silverado was moderately damaged, the report said.
