Jennifer M. Thompson, 36, of Barnhart was hurt Friday afternoon (March 17) when a large truck rear-ended the car she was driving at I-270 and I-44 in St. Louis County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.
At 1:30 p.m., Thompson was driving a southbound 2008 Chrysler Town and Country, slowed for traffic, and a southbound 2000 Freightliner Minor FL70 following behind struck the car, the report said.
Cody R. Miller, 25, of Cedar Hill was driving the Freightliner. No injuries were reported for him.
Thompson was moderately injured and taken by ambulance to Des Peres Hospital.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts, the patrol reported.
The car was extensively damaged, and the truck had minor damage, the report said.
