Randall E. Zumbrun, 21, of Barnhart was hurt Monday night (Aug. 29) when he was driving on Engle Creek Road at Mariah Drive in Barnhart and swerved to avoid a deer and ran off the road, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.
At 11:30 p.m., Zumbrun was driving a 2000 Chevrolet S10 east on Engle Creek Road and after seeing a deer in the road, swerved, and the pickup ran off the right side of the road and struck a tree, the report said.
He sustained moderate injuries and was taken by Rock Township Ambulance to St. Anthony’s Medical Center in south St. Louis County, where he was listed in satisfactory condition today (Aug. 30), a hospital spokesman said.
Zumbrun was not wearing a seat belt, the patrol reported.
The pickup was totaled, the report said.
