Jasmine M. Alford, 23, of Arnold was seriously injured Wednesday afternoon (Dec. 16) in a two-vehicle accident on Hwy. 61-67 north of Autumn Oaks Drive in Imperial, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.

At 2:15 p.m., Alford was driving a 2005 Nissan Altima north on the highway and crossed over the center line, and the front of the car struck the left side of a southbound truck, the report said.

Matthew A. Raddatz, 45, of St. Louis was driving the big truck, a 2006 Freightliner. No injuries were reported for him.

Alford was taken by Rock Township Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, where she was listed in critical condition this afternoon (Dec. 17), a hospital spokesman said.

She was not wearing a seat belt, and Raddatz was wearing one, the patrol reported.

The car was totaled, and the truck was moderately damaged, the report said.
