An Arnold woman and a Park Hills man were injured Tuesday morning (July 27) in a three-vehicle accident on Hwy. D north of Hwy. K east of Bonne Terre in St. Francois County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 8:27 a.m., Steven R. Noll, 30, of Park Hills was driving a 2009 Mercury Mountaineer south on Hwy. D, got distracted and hit a northbound big rig head-on. Then the Mountaineer began to rotate, and the rear of it struck a northbound 2017 GMC Terrain. After the first collision, the big rig ran off the road and struck a fence, the report said.
Russell B. Bange, 60, of Park Hills was driving the big rig, a 2006 International 4300, and Dana L. Girgis, 45 of Arnold was driving the Terrain.
No injuries were reported for Bange. However, Noll and Girgis were moderately injured and taken by ambulance to Parkland Health Center, the report said.
Noll was not wearing a seat belt, and Bange and Girgis were wearing them, the patrol reported.
All three vehicles were totaled, the report said.
