Melanie T. Reichert, 39, of Arnold was injured Tuesday morning, Sept. 6, in a three-vehicle accident on I-55 south of Bayless Avenue in St. Louis County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 7:50 a.m., Stacy M. Meeks, 40, of St. Louis was driving a 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer north on the interstate and was forced into another lane, striking a northbound 2019 Chevrolet Traverse driven by Reichert. Then, the Trailblazer struck a northbound 2016 Nissan Rogue driven by Sheryl E. Large, 39, of St. Louis, the report said.
No injuries were reported for Meeks or Large.
However, Reichert was moderately injured and taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, where she was listed in good condition today, Sept. 7, a hospital spokesman said.
All the drivers were wearing seat belts, the patrol reported.
The Trailblazer and Traverse were totaled, and the Rogue had minor damage, the report said.
