An Arnold woman was hurt in a two-vehicle accident Sunday morning (Dec. 9) on I-270 north of Olive Boulevard (Hwy. 340) near Creve Coeur in northwest St. Louis County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that Jamie Gray, 27, of Arnold was driving north on I-270 at 7:30 a.m. when, in an attempt to avoid an object in her lane, she turned to the right and her 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe began to slide, hitting the left side of a towed unit behind a 2014 Dodge Ram 3500 driven by James Grammer, 45, of Morris, Ill., and then ran off the left side of the road, and the left front of the Hyundai struck the concrete traffic barrier. The Hyundai then returned to the roadway and struck the left side the of towed unit behind the Dodge Ram.

Gray sustained moderate injuries and was taken by the Creve Coeur Fire Protection District to Mercy Hospital St. Louis in Creve Coeur, the report said.

An update on her condition was not available.

The report made no mention of an injury to Grammer.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts, the report said. The Hyundai had extensive damage and Grammer’s towed unit had moderate damage.
