A 29-year-old Arnold woman was arrested for suspicion of driving while intoxicated following a one-vehicle accident that happened Sunday afternoon (Nov. 7) on Hwy. K near Neff Road south of St. Clair in Franklin County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.

At 1: 48 p.m., the woman was driving a 2003 Dodge Grand Caravan north on the highway and ran off the right side of the road, where the minivan struck a culvert and overturned, the report said.

She was seriously injured and taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital Washington, according to the report.

The woman was not wearing a seat belt, the patrol reported.

The minivan was totaled, the report said.

The highway patrol arrested the woman at 2:13 p.m. at the hospital.

Her name will not be published unless charges are filed against her, and as of this afternoon (Nov. 8), none had been filed.
