Abigail R. Breyfogle, 17, of Arnold was seriously injured Wednesday night (April 4) in a one-car accident on Hwy. MM east of Hawthorn Drive in House Springs, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At about 11:10 p.m., Breyfogle was driving a 2007 Ford Focus west on Hwy. MM where she failed to negotiate a curve, and the car went airborne and landed in a dry creek bed, the report said.
She was not wearing a seat belt, according to the report.
Breyfogle was taken by Survival Flight helicopter to Mercy Hospital St. Louis in Creve Coeur, where she was listed in serious condition Thursday afternoon (April 5), a hospital spokeswoman said.
