Dustin L. Haberland, 20, of Arnold was seriously hurt early this morning (Oct. 10) in a one-car accident on Lonedell Road east of Forest View Drive in the Arnold area, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.
At 12:33 a.m., Haberland was driving a 2013 Honda Civic west on Lonedell Road and swerved to avoid a deer in the road before the car ran off the road and struck a utility pole, the report said.
Haberland was taken by Rock Township Ambulance to St. Anthony’s Medical Center in south St. Louis County, where he was treated and released, a hospital spokesman said this afternoon.
He was wearing a seat belt, the patrol reported.
The car was extensively damaged, the report said.
